The graveyard chapel Zerkwitz in the City of Lübbenau was built in the 1960s. Since 2012 comprehensive planning procedures have been accomplished to develop the project “court design of the graveyard chapel”. Within that process the Cottbus based office of mayerwittig Architekten und Stadtplaner GbR commissioned the Institute of New Industrial Culture to suggest a new landscape design for the site. INIK proposed a new, light roof and wall construction to offer an assembly spot for visitors and funeral parties.
