Readjustment of the development approach

The Energy Factory Knappenrode is one of the four museums of industrial heritage that are members of the municipal Association Saxon Museum of Industry. As a regional flagship-project in the district of Bautzen, the Energy Factory is a part of the Lusatian Route of Industrial Heritage and as an anchor point a part of the European Route of Industrial Heritage. The recent development has shown that the Energy Factory had been succesfully established as a museum in the district of Bautzen in the structurally weak Lusatia. This is due to the fact that it was possible to balance between supra-regional aspirations and regional perspective. In the coming years the district of Bautzen and its partners are pursuing a readjustment of the recent development approach. Against this background, the INIK GmbH supports the location providing strategic consulting services.
