Familiengarten Eberswalde
Strategic Concept for Industrial Heritage Highlight
-0,7

The Eberswalde based “Familiengarten” is an urban park located on a former industrial site that became the “Landesgartenschau” area in 2002. Today the park is one of the visitor highlights in the city and the region counting almost 100.000 tourists per year. The park is an event and leisure area plus it creates an important urban link between the Eberswalde city center and the Finow neighborhood. Taking this into account the future development of the city is of urban importance. In that context the City of Eberswalde commissioned INIK to set up the future action plan for the “Familiengarten”. The action plan is the decision making foundation for the future strategic perspective of the park.
