The Train Station in Welzow
A developing concept for the building of former railway station in Welzow
80

The city Welzow is situated within spitting distance of the surface mine. In the future there should be close tourist connection between the city and the big attraction active surface mine landscape. The Municipality of Welzow decided to rebuild the redundant railway station in the middle of the city and to place there a Center for Culture and Knowledge. The INIK’s study consolidated the single use possibilities in a strategic concept and sketched the first important steps of the project implementation.
