Prison as a memorial in Cottbus
Development of Human Rights Center
-0,1

The idea of the INIK strategy is the spatial and economic reflection of new development directions for the former penitentiary in Cottbus. Since 2008, a memorial, education and meeting place has been built in the old prison. The human rights center Cottbus e. V. bought the entire area. Today, the former prison is particularly reminiscent of the political prisoners of the period between 1949 and 1989.
