Re-Use Furnierhalle
Görlitz re-uses “Furnierhalle” as a youth center
-0,8

The City of Görlitz commissioned the Institute of New Industrial Culture to renovate and re-use the old “Furnierhalle” in the neighborhood of the former “Werk 1” of the historic wagon building factory. Planning and building activities include the reconstruction of the industrial monument and the re-use of the building as a new youth center. The owner, facility manager and group of users is actively participating in the project. Several years ago the City of Görlitz bought parts of the buildings and sites of “Werk 1” to step-by-step find new uses for the area.
