Estrich House in Jüterbog
-1

The idea of the project „democracy as a life scheme“ was the foundation of an international atelier of democracy and design in the Estrich House in Jüterbog. The building of Dr. Estrich exists until today and is one of the early buildings of the German-Jewish architect and engineer Konrad Wachsmann. Built in 1929 the house marks not only the beginning of Wachsmann’s architectural oeuvre that influenced generations of architects all around the world. It also represents the idea of democracy, tolerance and cosmopolitanism of Emmi and Georg Estrich plus the architect.
