By 2019, the Energiefabrik Knappenrode, part of the union of Saxon Industrial Museum, readjusted its buildings structure and its content as a museum. One part of the work is the new exhibition for the Energiefabrik. Curator for the new exhibition section "Lusatia’s Lakeland (VI)" was the Institute of New Industrial Culture INIK GmbH. The work was carried out under the extended curatorial team including Dr. Robert Lorenz, Dr. Claudius Noack and the Förderverein Bergbaumuseum Knappenrode e. V..
