The project was set up as a cooperative analysis focusing on urban design aspects as integral parts of local energy concepts of cities in the State of Brandenburg. Within the research project the University of Applied Sciences in Cottbus (Prof. Petra Wollenberg, Professor of Urban Design) and the cooperating INIK GmbH examined five local energy concepts regarding the consideration of design and urban conservation criteria. The cities included in the research project were Wittstock, Teltow, Eberswalde, Lychen and Fürstenwalde.
