As part of its activities in the office Lück + Prof. Otto Markus Otto completed numerous projects in the context of the Völklinger Hütte Heritage Site completed. These included: (1) overall concept for integrating the plant into the city Voelklingen, (2) tourist paths in the context of the World Heritage site, (3) documentation and preservation studies, and (4) redevelopment of the visitor center in the former “Mischgutanlage”. The ironworks “Völklinger Hütte” was founded in 1873. Until today it reflects all phases of production. As early as 1994 the UNESCO accepted the Völklingen Hütte as an industrial monument in the World Heritage List.
