Since 2011 Sebastian Hettchen is managin director of the Institute of New Industrial Culture.

(*1969) studied architecture and monument preservation at the University of Technology Cottbus, the Universidad de Valladolid and at the University of Washington (Fulbright Schlarship). 2000-2005 project manager at IBA (International Building Exhibit), 2002-2005 PhD at the Politechnika Wrocławska. Since 2000 lecturer at the Europa-University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder, the Brandenburgische Technische Universität, the University of Technology Dresden, the Politechnika Wroclawska and AINOVA near Bratislava. Lars Scharnholz is INIK founder, since 2005 employee / freelance researcher in the INIK and since 2011 managing director of the Institute for New Industrial Culture. |

Master thesis in the course of Europan 10 competition, city Guben, topic of the master thesis "Open source urbanism", creating a sustainable and contemporary urbanity and integration by using new and old buildings. Strategic task was to define and create the functional and urban connection of the suburbs area to the downtown area. 2009 – 2013 project architect at KellerMayerWittig Architekten Stadtplaner Bauforscher in Cottbus. 2013 – 2015 project architect at planungsgruppe abv GmbH in Cottbus. Since 2015 project architect at INIK GmbH in Cottbus. 2012 registration as an architect at Brandenburgische Architektenkammer.

Master of Arts in World Heritage Studies at BTU Cottbus, Master thesis on communications strategy in the Erzgebirge mining region. Internship in the engineering office ARCADIS Consult GmbH in Erfurt and Rostock, internship in the Biosphere Reserve Schorfheide-Chorin, cooperation in environmental education projects, 2009/2010 tandem partnership with INIK within the frame of mentoring project for women. 2010 - 2011 employee of the THINK GmbH - Thuringian Institute for Sustainability and Climate change, project manager for the development of concepts for energy and climate protection at the regional planning level.

(*1986) studied architecture at Shahid Beheshti University in Theran (Bachelor of Science and Master of Arch in Restoration and Preservation of historic buildings). From 2008 to 2014 Niku Khaleghi worked in different architectural offices in Iran. 2014 to 2017 Master in World Heritage Studies at the Brandenburgische Technische Universität in Cottbus. Several professional publications in magazins. Niku Khaleghi pubished two specialist books on historic Persian gardens. Since 2017 she is project architect at INIK GmbH.
