INIK strategy:
The old diary in Burg (Spreewald) should be develop as „adventure“ diary and be integrated into the existing tourist infrastructure of the region. The INIK strategy offers particularly the connection between the subject areas „Industry“ and „Nature“.

Background:
The community of Burg (Spreewald) is located in the center of Upper Spreewald. It is a settlement with scattered buildings and low density of population. The region of Spreewald is since September 1990 recognized as UNESCO biosphere reservation. The old diary is situated between the Spreewald railway station and the river Spree. The historic buildings are not listed in the monument register. Burg (Spreewald) strives successfully fort the development of the tourism in the region and the old diary is registered in the catalog of measures. The necessary public and private investment founds for the location development will be granted if the use concept suit the existing tourist infrastructure.
