INIK strategy:
The strategy tries to unite in one development concept two very important aspects of the region – local economy and the historical heritage. The idea will be aligned to the revitalization concept for Zabrze and assumes the engagement of the local groups of interest. The active participation of the Borsig’s residents should result in an increase of social prosperity.

Background:
The Upper Silesian Agglomeration is too often perceived as a region, which undergoes structural changes from heavy industry to multiindustrial region. It is overlooked that it is very important residential estates landscape in Europe. If so, then only as a „historic landscape“ that must be separated from the development areas.
