A3 Industry at the Finow canal
Industrial canal as a development belt
A.03

INIK strategy:
Due to the complexity of the project „Development belt Finowkanal", for its implementation INIK proposes a top-down strategy with an operative management level, which constitute regional and municipal stakeholders. At the same time a detailed strategy for the individual sites with its topics and development aims will be elaborated.

Background:
The functional unity of the canal and factories dissolved after the German unification and recession. The belt-like structure changed into industrial wasteland. The municipality of Eberswalde is looking for alternative concepts of regaining of the urban ensemble and connection of the city and the water.
