F.01

INIK-Strategie:
The House Schminke in Löbau should be used for the architectural education and so act as an agent between building culture and students. This form of the part use strengths the public perception of the buildings and provides financial support for the maintenance costs.

Hintergrund:
The country house Schminke by Hans Scharoun was built during the years 1930-1933. Today it is worldwide known and remarkable example of private housing development in the 20th century. Nowadays this significant architecture and the importance of this house fort he building history is underestimated. Previous use strategies attached importance to the use of the building as event center not to the building itself. Since 2006 is the municipality of Löbau is the owner of the building and arranged there an office, which is responsible for the PR and cultural and tourist marketing of the city. The qualified learning opportunity and event offer could substantial contribute to the transfer of the fundamentals of modern architecture and the tourism marketing of the whole region.
